Activity of the ethanolic extract of propolis on the wall and membrane of C. albicans (ATCC 14065). The yeasts were stained with calcofluor-white and propidium iodide and visualized by confocal microscopy at 100× total magnification. Calcofluor-white dye was viewed at a wavelength of 450 nm, and propidium iodide was viewed at 580 nm.
