Effect of sub-MICs of metformin, NAC, and secnidazole on the growth of K. pneumoniae. K. pneumoniae was cultured in LB broth and the OD600 was measured every 30 min with or without the addition of 1/8 MIC of metformin, NAC, and secnidazole. The growth curves were compared to that of the untreated bacteria cultured in LB broth only. The results show that sub-MICs of metformin, NAC, and secnidazole did not significantly alter the growth of K. pneumoniae. The test was performed in triplicate. Values are the averages of three independent experiments
