ZnO-NPs improved healing of full thickness wounds in mice. Mice were anesthetized and hair on their backs was shaved. Skin wounds were created and inoculated with S. aureus (2.5 × 107 CFU∕mL) at wound site. Wounds were treated with gentamicin, ZnO-NPs or a combination of both. Progression of wound healing was monitored and images of skin wounds on mice from various groups were taken on day 0, 3, 6, 10, and 14 after creation of wound and treatment and represented. Treatment of mice with both ZnO-NPs and gentamicin together accelerates wound healing relative to control untreated mice and those treated with ZnO-NPs or gentamicin alone
