Schematic of the CRISPR-Cas12a based assay for ASFV detection. Viral nucleic acids from different sample types were extracted, and the p72 target region amplified using RPA at 39 °C for 20 min. The amplicon was then mixed with Cas12a/crRNA, and a ternary complex formed when the target region was present.
