PRM induces an earlier TNF-α production wave in response to Candida albicans. J774 macrophages were incubated with PRM at 100 μg/ml for 1 h. After removal of PRM the monolayers were washed and incubated with C. albicans yeast cells (1:1 ratio) for 1, 2 and 3 h. Cytokines were determined in the culture supernatants. MO: Macrophages.
