Antimicrobial activity of novel LAB strains against planktonic and biofilm embedded forms of pathogenic bacteria. LAB suspensions in MRS broth without sorbic acid (107 CFU/ml) were added to 48-h old biofilms of pathogenic bacteria. After 24 h CFUs of bacteria were calculated on differential media. Data are shown as medians with IQR. Asterisks denote statistically significant difference with monocultures of pathogenic bacteria (p < 0.05)
