Sterol contents in yeasts cultivated at different temperatures. The yeasts M. blollopis (white columns), L. creatinivorum (black columns), and R. mucilaginosa (grey columns) were grown until the early stationary phase of growth, and sterols were extracted and quantified from the cell pellets. The biomass (in g l− 1) reached by each culture at each assayed temperature is indicated in each column. The values are the average of three determinations, and the error bars correspond to the standard deviation
