Phylogeny of the rhodanese superfamily. a Global rhodanese phylogeny. Two archaeal rhodanese representatives were used to root the tree. b Rhodanese superfamily in Opisthokonta. The TST1 repeat domain of the rhodanese protein from Arabidopsis (AEE36219) was used to root this tree. In both cases, the rooted maximum likelihood tree was inferred by IQ Tree [22] under a LG + G4 model from the TST1 repeat domain, and reliability for the internal branches was assessed using the 1000 bootstrap replications. Nodes with confidence values greater than 50% are indicated. All sequences were obtained from the GenBank; genus names and accession numbers are included
