  1. All genetic disruptions were made in pKD46 transformants of BW25113. Extension lengths are given first. Numerals identify the 3′ nucleotide of the extension in the Kentucky genome shotgun sequence (GenBank accession no. ABAK02000001.1). One primer had the Hx extension and the 3′ sequence for priming site 1 (P1). The other primer had the H2 extension and the 3′ sequence for the complement of priming site 2 (P2). Priming sites P1 and P2 associated with plasmid pKD3 [21]
