  1. aTotal RNA was isolated from bacterial cells recovered from infected plant tissues. Transcript abundance was determined by quantitative RT-PCR and compared to RT-PCR signals from cells grown in LB broth to an OD600 of 0.5.
  2. bBacteria were re-isolated from infected shoots of apple rootstock 1, 4 and 7 days post inoculation (dpi).
