A: Hemolysis of RBCs incubated with MFN1032, MFN1030 and MFN1031 at 28°C and a MOI of 1. Results are means of at least three independent experiments. Standard deviation is shown. Contact was enhanced by centrifugation at 400 g for 10 min. B: Swimming motility of MFN1032, MFN1030 and MFN1031. Swimming motility was determined, as described in the methods, on 0.3% LB agar after 16 h of incubation at 28°C. MFN1032, MFN1031 and MFN1030 formed concentric halos corresponding to swimming motility.
