  1. *The gene family names were inherited from the PeroxiBase [26] that contain fungal sequences.
  2. **The genes encoding Duox family were exclusively found in the species belonging to the kingdom Metazoa and Proterospongia sp. ATCC 50818 which belongs to the order Choanoflagellida, a close relative to the animals [33].
