Phylogenetic analysis of P. arizonense HE-MAwt (MT355884) using two different genetic markers, (a) ITS and (b) ben A barcode. The phylograms show the relationship of P. arizonense HE-MAwt with the closely related strains of the same species, retrieved from NCBI GenBank database, and its relation to the Penicillium species of section Canescentia. The percentage of replicate trees in which the associated taxa clustered together in the bootstrap test (1000 replicates) is shown next to each branch. The tree is drawn to scale, with a branch length in the same unit as those of the evolutionary distance used to infer the phylogenetic tree. The evolutionary distance was computed using the Maximum Composite Likelihood method and is in units of the number of base substitutions per site. Evolutionary analyses were conducted in the MEGA7 program.
