The expression of Cas9 (via the 6*His tag) was detected by the Western blotting analysis. Nine transformants of YM25235-Cas9 were selected for analysis. Among them, five transformants (lanes 1, 2, 3, 7, and 9) showed the expression of Cas9 protein, but the other four transformants (lanes 4, 5, 6, and 8) did not. The YM25235 strain was used as the negative control of Cas9 expression. The protein expression was normalized to β-tubulin expression
