Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of zinc chloride required to inhibit GBS growth across colonizing or invasive strains. Analysis of susceptibility to zinc-associated growth inhibition in invasive vs. clinical isolates of Group B Streptococcus (GBS). GBS strains isolated from colonized patients, or patients experiencing invasive disease were grown in increasing concentrations of zinc chloride and mean MIC was calculated. Significant differences were determined by Mann-Whitney U test (P < 0.05). Dotted line indicates upper limit of detection
