Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of zinc chloride required to inhibit GBS growth across colonizing or invasive strains. Analysis of susceptibility to zinc-associated growth inhibition in invasive vs. clinical isolates of Group B Streptococcus (GBS). GBS strains isolated from colonized patients, or patients experiencing invasive disease were grown in increasing concentrations of zinc chloride and mean MIC was calculated.
