Phylogeny of 12 canonical single nucleotide polymorphisms (canSNP) sub-lineages and the twelve Bacillus anthracis strains (DFR.BHE 1–12). Terminal sub groups representing specific lineages are shown as diamonds, and intervening nodes representing collapsed branches appear as circles. All 13 canonical SNPs were concatenated into a single nucleotide sequence for each subgroup and strain. The trees were generated from an alignment (gap open cost, 15; gap extension cost, 6.66; end gap cost, free) using a maximum likelihood method with 1000 bootstrap replicates (MEGA X)
