The immunomodulatory profiles of the SLAP mutants compared to the parent strain were evaluated using a murine dendritic cell co-incubation assay. Cytokines IL-10, IL-6, IL-12 and TNF-α, were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. Co-incubations were performed in biological triplicate; bars on the box-whisker plots were constructed using block centered data. The dotted line is used to indicate the median of the control strain.
