Linear discriminant analysis effect size (LEfSe) analysis of severe, moderate, and control shows six specific bacterial clades that distinguish severe RSV from control or moderate RSV. The LEfSe analysis shows the linear effect size between the samples and calculates the linear discriminant analysis (LDA) score for each of the Operation Taxonomic Units (OTUs) showing their respective ability to characterize the severity of disease. Taxonomic rank is denoted by the first small letter in the naming. a LEfSe at the family level, (b) LEfSe at the genus level, and (c) LEfSe at the OTU level. All the phylogenetic clades shown are p < 0.05 following non-parametric factorial Kruskal-Wallis (KW) sum-rank test and Wilcoxon rank-sum test
