Comparison of the relative abundance of Isoleucine under butyrate and succinate growth condition. Relative abundance of Isoleucine in Rs. rubrum was monitored using MRM based mass spectrometry analysis in butyrate (grey) and succinate (black) grown biomass. Isoleucine abundance was expressed as the ratio of isoleucine signal on signal of each of the three other amino acids (valine, lysine and arginine) in order to avoid any extraction bias.
