Experimental procedure of temporal quantitative proteome analysis. C. cellulovorans was cultured with glucose, cellulose, xylan, galactomannan, or pectin. Proteins were prepared from cell lysates at various time points. Tryptic fragments were labeled with tandem mass tag (TMT). The labeled peptides were mixed and analyzed with the nano-liquid chromatography (LC)–mass spectrometry (MS/MS) system, and the obtained mass spectra were used for protein identification and quantification.
