Amplified products of five multiplex PCR reactions from the conventional real-time PCR run on 2% agarose gel. The marker used in each side of each gel is the GeneRuler 1 kb Plus DNA ladder with the last three bands of 75, 200 and 300 bp. Each gel represents a column in Fig. 3. The sample lanes from left to right in each gel are the beef carcass swab samples 1–8, negative and positive controls as seen in Fig. 3
