HicB binds hicAB promoter region. Gel mobility shift analysis of specific binding of the purified HicB to the promoter region of hicAB operon. The probe, a 223 bp DNA fragment amplified by PCR, was incubated with increasing amounts of purified HicB (0 to 1 μM) and submitted to electrophoresis in a 5% PAGE in Tris acetate buffer pH 7.5.
