Taxonomic composition and % abundance of bacteria found in midguts of uninfected and trypanosome infected G. pallidipes caught in Nguruman, Kenya, Shimba Hills, Kenya and Murchison Falls, Uganda. Data collected from each location is exhibited on two graphs. The top and bottom graphs show the % abundance of total midgut bacteria that are composed of environmentally acquired and maternally transmitted OTUs, respectively. Individual flies assayed from each site are represented by a distinct bar on each graph
