Alteration in circulating hemocyte density following inoculation with viable and heat killed A. fumigatus conidia. G. mellonella larvae were inoculated with 20 μl heat killed conidia (1 × 106), viable A. fumigatus conidia (1 × 106) or PBS and hemocytes were extracted and enumerated from 0 h to 24 h post inoculation.
