  1. Therapeutic index, (T.I.) is defined as the ratio of, MHC to, MIC GM . MHC (ÎĽg/ml) is the minimum hemolytic concentration that caused 5% hemolysis of mouse red blood cells, (mRBCs). The MICGM (ÎĽg/ml) means the geometric mean, (GM) of the, MIC values of the peptides against bacteria. MICAverage G- is the, MIC GM for Gram-negative bacteria, MIC Average G+ is the MICGM for Gram-positive bacteria
