From: Contribution of pilus type 2b to invasive disease caused by a Streptococcus agalactiae ST-17 strain

The pilus 2b mutant (Δbp-2b) and its complemented derivative (Δbp-2b+) show equivalent growth in rich medium to wild-type (WT) and the pilus 1 mutant (Δbp-1). GBS bacteria were inoculated in Todd Hewitt Broth (THB) and incubated at 37 °C. The number of viable bacteria was assessed at different points up to 5 h. Each GBS strain was run in triplicate for each time point and the mean of triplicates ± the SD are shown. No significant differences were observed among strains (P > 0.05, one-way ANOVA non parametric test followed by Kruskal-Wallis test)
