L. acidophilus impaired ETEC-trigged TLR2 and TLR4 expression in spleen and MLNs. Pigs were challenged with or without ETEC (1 × 109 CFU/kg BW). Three hours post inflammatory challenge, spleen and MLNs samples were collected to examine the levels of porcine TLR2 (A) and TLR4 (B) by real-time RT-PCR. Expression of TLR2 and TLR4 was normalized to β-actin in the same sample, and presented as fold change relative to mock challenged pigs fed with basal diet (Control group). Expression of TLR2 or TLR4 in control group was normalized to 1.0. Values with different letters are significantly different (P < 0.05). (n = 3)
