  1. Cells were cultivated in CGXII containing ten times less nitrogen sources than regular CGXII medium. 1 % glucose was used as carbon and energy source. At an OD600 of about 15, no or 16 μg/ml ciprofloxacin were added. The concentration of organic acids was determined after glucose depletion. All values represent the mean and the standard error of triplicates
