Relative changes in tetA mRNA levels. tetA mRNA profile of E. coli MG1655 containing tetA and tetR on the chromosome (MG1655/TetA). The strain was grown in MH-2 broth without and with tetracycline at different concentrations. Two independent replicates including two technical replicates each were performed; the data shown represents the mean. The data have been normalised to two validated reference genes, gapA and nusG, and are relative to the tetA mRNA level in the lag phase with no antibiotics.
