  1. LPS from Leptospira interogans serovar Copenhageni strain L1-130 (L1-130) and intermediate pathogenic, Leptospira licerasiae serovar Varillal strain VAR010 (VAR010) were purified from both aqueous (AQ) and phenol layer (PH) and subjected for composition analysis separately. The sugar composition values of aqueous, phenol and combined mean values (± SE) are presented as mole percentage of monosaccharides obtained in fractions. ND = not detected; FucNAc = 2-Nacetyl-2, 6-dideoxy Galactose and QuiNAc = 2-Nacetyl-2, 6-dideoxy Glucose (*). FucNAc and QicNAc are proposed according to the EI mass fragmentation pattern and relative retention times; however quantification could not be done due to unavailability of authentic standards for both monosaccharides
