Both native Yps1 and Yps1-DL correct the SDS hypersensitivity of kex2Δ yeast. yps1Δ yeast transformed with pRS426 (Control) or kex2Δ yps1Δ yeast transformed with the indicated plasmids were first grown overnight in SC medium. Then, serial 1/5 dilutions were spotted onto YPD or YPD supplemented with 0.01% SDS and colonies were grown for 48 h at 30°C.
