From: Extracellular DNA release confers heterogeneity in Candida albicans biofilm formation
Expression of biofilm related genes is up-regulated in C. albicans isolates with HBF. Biofilms with LBF (n = 3) and HBF (n = 3) were grown for 4 (A) and 24 h (B) before RNA extracted, cDNA synthesised and qPCR used to measure the expression of ALS3 and HWP1. Each individual isolate was measured in duplicate. Percentage of gene expression is represented by mean ± SD relative to housekeeping gene ACT1. *p < 0.05.
