Level of the tagged proteins from the internalized bacterial strains T-prgI, T-sipA, T-sptP, T-spaO, T-sopE2, and T-sipB recovered from the spleen and cecum. BALB/c mice were intragastrically infected with 1 × 105 CFU of the tagged strains, and internalized bacteria were recovered from the spleen and cecum at 7 days post inoculation. The values, which are the means from triplicate experiments, represent the relative percentage of the level of the tagged proteins in the internalized bacteria recovered from the spleen and cecum, as compared to the level of the tagged SpoE2 protein in the T-spoE2 recovered from the spleens at 7 days post inoculation.
