All mice in all passages experienced a dietary shift from an ~12% fat diet to an ~6% fat diet 3 to 5 days prior to inoculation with C. jejuni. Passages 1, 2, and 3 had five infected mice each for each strain; passage four had 10 infected mice. Passage 1 had four sham inoculated control mice; passages 2 and 3 had five control mice each; passage four had 10 control mice.
