Experiments performed in cation-adjusted Mueller Hinton II broth at 37°C. t1, t4, t7: t delay for 0 mg l-1 antibiotic; t2: t delay for 4 mg l-1, t3: t delay for 8 mg l-1 chloramphenicol; t5: t delay for 0.125 mg l-1, t6: t delay for 0.25 mg l-1 erythromycin; t8: t delay for 0.125 mg -1 tetracycline. Blank is medium alone. Curves are the mean of three replicates.
