Inhibition of DENV2 infection by specific antibodies. C6/36 cell monolayers were incubated separately in the presence of pre-immune serum, anti-EP, anti-R67 or anti-R80 at 28°C for 60 min and then DENV serotype 2 was added (600 PFU/well) and incubated for 30 min at 4°C. After washing, fresh culture medium was added and the cells were incubated for 8 days. Pre-immune serum and antibodies were diluted 1:10 and 1:50. Viral titers in the supernatants were determined by viral plaque assay in LLC-MK2 cells. The experiments were repeated at least 3 times in quadruplicate.
