Electron micrographs of M. smegmatis -P1 and M. tuberculosis following immunogold labeling with anti-mycosin-1 antiserum. Bacterial pellets were first incubated with anti-mycosin-1 antiserum, fixed, cryosectioned, and labeled with 5-nm gold particles. (A) M. smegmatis transformed with vector only (p19Kpro); (B) M. smegmatis-P1; (C) M. tuberculosis incubated with pre-immune serum as primary antibody; and (D) M. tuberculosis incubated with anti-mycosin-1 antiserum.
