The taxonomy and relative distribution of bacterial populations attached to the sediment of in situ samplers. Sequences were classified to the genus level using Mothur [33] with the “Hugenholtz” taxonomic nomenclature in Greengenes [34]. The area of each circle is proportional to the percentage of sequences represented by that class within those wells, which are grouped together according to the concentration of sulfate in groundwater.
