GluQ-RS is distributed within the bacterial domain. Rooted Phylogenetic analysis of selected sequences of GluQ-RS, showing the presence of this enzyme in the bacterial domain. Searching within the Uniprot database (http://www.uniprot.org/) of homologues protein to GluQ-RS were identified and then were searched in the GenomeNet (http://www.genome.jp/) database for confirmation and analysis of the genomic organization. Bootstrap values (>50%) where calculated by 400 replicates using the maximum-likelihood methods in the MEGA5 software [21] and rooted with archaeal GluRS from Methanocaldococcus jannaschii and Archaeoglobus fulgidus (not shown). In yellow background are shown bacterial species (in red and underlined) that are representatives having the genomic organization of dksA-gluQ-rs genes. The signature of each subgroup identified previously [11] is indicated.
