In vivo microscopy of macrophages infected by MFN1032. Confocal laser-scanning photography of Pseudomonas fluorescens MFN1032 with J774A.1 macrophages. J774A.1 macrophages grown in 24-well plates for 20h were infected with strains grown to an OD580nm of 1.0-1.5 (MOI of 10). Cytotoxicity was followed over a 10 min period by in vivo microscopy. The dead macrophages were red (by EtBr entry) and MFN1032 expressing GFP were green. A: Representative photography of a 3D modelisation of 17 z stack images of 1μm. B: Representative orthographic representation of 1μm thick layer. The cell at the crossing of the red and green lines in the z stack has been submitted to a stack in the x and y axis.
