  1. This table shows the colony diameter attained after conidia were inoculated at 25°C and 35°C in a modification of medium M agar plates with different concentrations of added progesterone. No growth was observed at concentrations of progesterone of 0.05 mM or above, at 35°C while conidia incubated at 25°C germinated and showed growth at all concentrations of progesterone tested. The data represents the average diameter ± one std deviation of 6 independent experiments.
