Lane 1, wild type Inoculum; lane 2, wild type biofilm; lane 3, Δmrk inoculum; lane 4, Δmrk biofilm. The lower band intensity in lane 4 is likely related to the low level of biofilm formed by the type 3 fimbriae mutant.
